The wife of shamed football pundit Jermaine Jenas has returned to social media for the first time since his BBC contract was terminated for sending inappropriate texts to other women.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and England midfielder Jenas, 41, is battling to save his 12-year marriage after admitting to sending explicit texts to two female employees at the BBC, where he worked on Match Of The Day and The One Show.

He has since been accused of sending photos of his manhood to a third unnamed woman while working abroad during the 2022 World Cup, held in Qatar.

Returning to Instagram on Tuesday evening, the ex-footballers wife, Ellie – with whom he raises four young children – revealed she is launching new business venture, Preppy Skin, a grooming brand aimed exclusively at the under-16s.

She wrote: Im so excited to finally reveal something very special that I have been working on for the last 3 years.

@PreppySkin is a new personal care brand aimed at Kids and teens. As a mother of 4, I knew that there was a gap for something immersive, fun but also (and most importantly to my eldest) Has to look amazing for her Get ready with me routines!

The collection begins with personal care products, with an incredible pipeline of future products.

Every product has been tried, tested and approved from the packaging, scents, formulations, and of course the name PREPPY!!

We can not wait to finally launch this brand, and reveal all next month!

Jenas was sacked from his presenting roles on Match Of The Day and The One Show after admitting to sending inappropriate texts to two BBC co-workers.

Now a source close to Jenas told The Sun: Jermaine completely denies these texts were unsolicited. They were between two consenting adults.

They also say that he has been working hard to start rebuilding his marriage and help his kids go back to school over the last few weeks, adding that he is mortified by the pain he has caused.

Claims from the BBC suggest that after one woman complained about receiving unsolicited messages, other female staff members also came forward.

He later issued a public apology to the two women he texted and told a newspaper I feel ashamed. I feel Ive let everybody down.

But now another woman claims she was subjected to what appears to be similarly inappropriate behaviour two years earlier, when the former footballer was working with the BBC commentating team during the World Cup in Qatar.

Upon his sacking from the BBC last month, the ex-footballer told his former female colleagues he was genuinely sorry for sending inappropriate messages, issuing a direct apology after being told not to contact the two women due to legal process.

But he insisted they were between two consenting adults and that his behaviour was not illegal.

The sacked Match of the Day host admitted: I feel ashamed. I feel Ive let everybody down – friends, family, colleagues.

Jenas said he hadnt slept properly since losing his job, and that his wife Ellie hasnt yet told him whether their marriage can last.

He said: I mean, the anxiety builds up in your body over these types of things. I havent had any sleeping pills. Ive just not been sleeping.

You just kind of lay there, minds ticking over until you pass out. Part of me would just rather go out and run until I collapse.

The former Spurs footballer also hit out at the BBC for the way the corporation handled his axing, saying: The handling of the situation wasnt great. It was quick — and hell.

I dont think there was a game plan for when they were going to announce theyd fired me.

I think different departments were being told different things. I think its shocking.
